People of my own vibe and tribe!

In my recent post about my vocal coach, I was sharing about meeting two young artists. One of them, an Estonian, is a gifted pianist. There has not been so many opportunities for us to share but the ones we had were fully charged emotionally.

I believe that being a musician and an artist is the greatest grace we have been bestowed. We are translating written words and notes in a unique and personal way through our act. In doing so, we are emitting a frequency, energy or whatever you might name it, that touches the audience, creating resonance and I can even permit myself to use the word congruence here. As a singer, and before any performance, there is this personal work in knowing the story, the different why's, how the reality of that piece touches me deep down and then how I decide to give myself to the song. In extension, being on stage, do my best in making each word, sentence and note count.

That is what I felt when Marite was playing. Every key she touches was a transmission of her willingness to reach each note while letting them resonate through the hall and touching our hearts. Upon her request on an Estonian composer creation, I have closed my eyes while she was performing. I have entered gently into a sort of meditation where I could see and feel the message that the composer was aiming to convey. It is mind blowing that the interpretation of Marite has decrypted and transmitted the essence of the composer, replicating it with high fidelity.

I am so grateful of meeting such a wonderful soul. Talking and exchanging at times do not tell us more about someone. As the saying goes "Action speaks louder than words", here in her case I would say, "music speaks louder than words". People, souls, are meant to meet and walk some miles together, even if being geographically apart, we converge towards the same soul goal.

Tänan teid väga Marite!
